Federal Park Crimes

If you are charged with a crime or citation committed in the Assateague Island National Seashore or the Chincoteague National Seashore then you should call the criminal defense lawyers at the MacDonald Law Office for advice. These parks are national parks owned by the federal government. Crimes committed in these parks are federal crimes which generally have a maximum penalty of 6 months in jail and/or a $5,000 fine. These crimes are scheduled for trial in the Federal Court in Salisbury, Maryland. Citations charged in the federal parks are misdemeanors that will go on your permanent record if you pay the fine or if you appear in court and are convicted. Probation before judgement is not a sentencing option in federal court.

Not all attorneys are members of the federal bar. Andrew MacDonald is a member of the federal bar authorized to practice in federal court. Mr. MacDonald routinely represents clients charged with federal crimes in the Assateague and Chincoteague National Seashore.
